If All Fails, Try This.

Have you ever been in a situation where you know things are not going to work out? Where the situation feels so heavy that even if you tried, it would only drag you down? Life can feel hopeless in moments of struggle, but the reality is, that is our own mind playing tricks on us. That is not to say what you are going through is not real or hard. It is simply that the way you learned to adapt to difficult situations affects how you experience them.

If you see a problem as a problem, then there stands the issue, because a problem does not exist without a solution. Those two coexist. If there was no solution, it would not be a problem, just an event or a reality. Yet even your reality can change when you look at things differently. Again, it is not to say what you are living is not true, but to understand that it is part of life, and only you can decide if you will push past it or not.

Your mind plays heavy tricks on you because of how we have set up our society, rules, and standards. You are chasing a goal that is not real. Reality is being present, understanding your current situation, and feeling your body and mind. I will say it a third time. It is not because the situation is not hard. It is simply not solved yet.

And you might say, well Camille, I am in huge debt. Is that my perception or my reality? Well, is it not both? If you believe your life is run entirely by debt and poverty, then you have not understood life. You have been conditioned to think this is all there is. A millionaire, although it may be annoying to hear, will tell you that once you have quote on quote made it, you will get bored and move to the next dopamine chase. In reality, there is no ultimate goal a human must achieve to feel whole. If there was, it would be to understand that you are part of the world as a connected whole, a small influence that shapes it throughout your lifetime.

You are not here simply to suffer. You are here to adapt to the world as it adapts around you. Do not take that as pure individualism, because you will feel alone. In reality, you are just as much a part of this world as any millionaire or billionaire. They simply had different opportunities or different problems. And not every billionaire has figured life out either. Some cling to capitalism and greed like their life depends on it. But if you take away their money, they do not disappear unless their thoughts allow them to. The world does not start or end with money or problems. It begins with accepting being human in a path of growth and cycles.

As I write this, I too must understand that my problems stem from my own mind. Like the fact that I have to push myself every day to become the person I wish to be, and I still do not know entirely who that will be. But I know she will impact the world purposefully and without greed or selfishness or isolation. Part of my growth was understanding the connection between everything and everyone.

But let us not lose ourselves in this conversation. As my title suggests, if all fails and you truly feel there can be no solution, take a moment to evaluate yourself as a person. Sit still and feel your body. Understand that this body can move, act, impact others, and change things. Because if we were meant to be still, maybe we would never age. Some people do not age mentally, but that is not the point of life. Holding onto your failures and not moving forward may be what keeps you down.

I do not claim to understand the human mind perfectly, but I have lived these examples myself. If I stayed in the state of feeling like a failure, I would be in a completely different world right now, and I would not be writing this. This is not to make you feel bad. You are human and we all feel emotions. But understanding that you can move forward, even when it is painful, is part of the process.

Back to the debt and poverty example. What if you truly feel stuck and see no way out? The thing is, with everything accessible in the world today, the only thing stopping you is not trying. Which brings me back to my last idea: if you do not try, you will not succeed. If resources are depleted in your country and you are suffering, remember you are a human on a planet full of options. If one solution does not work, others exist. Not every solution will be ideal, but you must persist, for your own sake and for each human. If we all stay still and accept the reality humans have built, we will not create a healthy world. Our minds will drown in sadness, fear, and greed.

I cannot apologize for where I am today, because I could have remained in a state of poverty my entire life. Yes, I found opportunities, but I would not have found them without searching. And it does not come from within alone. It comes from reaching out, trying, and understanding yourself and how you influence your mind and those around you.

When I first moved to this big new city, I thought, how am I going to make connections? That was a problem, until I started going to events like art exhibitions. I was exposed to a new reality I could not have imagined. Today I am social and confident when, just a year ago, I struggled to say hi to strangers and felt anxious crossing a bridge. Things change, and so do you, when you understand your life is not meant to stay as it is. You cannot make changes if you believe nothing can be done. That belief is giving up. And I know we fight so hard. Please do not think I dismiss the effort people make. It is simply hard, and I understand. But if we give up after each hard attempt, the solution will never appear. That is unfortunate, but it is the truth.
